Having studied improvisation with some fantastic teachers from iO, Annoyance, Second City and UCB, I have been performing and teaching improv internationally for many years.
I am Artistic Director of award-winning British improv company The Maydays, established since 2004. We tour worldwide with various longform and musical shows, have been hosting the UK’s only residential improv retreat for the last 10 years and have a monthly residency at Komedia, as well as regular gigs and private events throughout the UK.
My other improv projects include being the creator and host of glitzy Unplanned Cabaret, post apocalyptic comedy podcast The Holiday After Tomorrow and Theatresports.
I often guest with other companies both in the UK and internationally ; past collaborations include Whirled News Tonight and The Musical Armando at iO Chicago, The Short and Girlie Show, Music Box and The Inflatables.
I love improvising and I love teaching it! When people are present with each other and building on each others ideas, anything is possible and the room is electric. The ethos of listen, say yes and commit is one to live by. Here’s a love letter I wrote for The British Comedy Guide.

“The Maydays are an improv ensemble firmly committed to artistic growth and challenge, unwilling to settle for simply being awesome. It makes them exciting to watch and a pleasure to work with.”
